- Shock Load Distribution: Droppers help transfer the shock or pressure from a single wire to all the wires in the fence. This "elastic" or "suspension" effect reduces the risk of overloading and snapping individual wires.
- Increasing Visibility: They make the fence line more visible to livestock, wildlife, or motorists, reducing the likelihood of accidental collisions.
- Reducing Sag: By acting as vertical braces, they reduce wire sag over long distances, ensuring the fence remains stock proof and aesthetically straight.
