Ring Lock Ledger(Horizontal)

In scaffolding systems, the Ring lock Ledger (also known as a horizontal) is a fundamental component used to provide lateral support and connect the vertical standards together.

Key Features of Ring lock Ledgers

  • Wedge Head Mechanism: At each end of the ledger is a cast-steel head with a captive wedge. This wedge is hammered into the "rosette" (the round disk) on the vertical standard to create a redundant, vibration-proof connection.
  • High Rigidity: Because of the tight wedge connection, Ring lock ledgers provide more structural rigidity than traditional tube-and-clamp systems.
  • Galvanization: These are typically hot-dip galvanized to prevent rust, which is essential for construction sites exposed to the elements.
