- Aiding Manual Movement: They make opening and closing large, heavy gates significantly easier by eliminating the need to lift or pull against the friction of a dragging frame.4
- Extending Post Life: By transferring the weight of the gate to the ground, the wheel prevents the gate post from leaning over time, which can eventually ruin the entire fence line.
